Summit Brokerage Services Announces Record Attendance for 2016 Conference
Boca Raton, FL – Summit Brokerage Services, Inc. the Highest Rated Independent Broker-Dealer in the Country**, successfully completed the 2016 National Conference at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, September 7-10, 2016, with another record attendance.
With over 600 in attendance, the theme of the three-day Conference, People, Purpose, Passion, focused on giving it’s advisors ample time to network with “People,” facilatating these relationships to help find their “Purpose,” or the direction they want to take their business, and to reenergize their practice by stimulating the “Passion,” or motivation to reach their goals.

Headlining this year’s conference was John Foley, Former Blue Angels Lead Solo Pilot. Foley’s presentation titled, “Drive the Ball: Sustaining Excellence Through Change” stirred emotion and created a lasting impression among the attendees who responded with a standing ovation.
Other headlining speakers included: Dr. Robert Watson, Historian, Author & Professor – Lynn University, gave an inciteful update on the current 2016 Presidential race. Dr. Quincy Krosby, Chief Market Strategist for Prudential Annuities and Brett Van Bortel, Executive Director for Invesco Consulting, who delivered a detailed presentation on the innovative Preferrals System. For the second year in a row, Summit hosted the Women’s Impact Network (WIN) luncheon with this year’s speaker Ella Shaw Neyland, President of Steadfast REIT, delivering “Walking Wall Street in High Heels.”
Prior to the conference, Summit gathered its’ top advisors for a Roundtable Discussion, giving them the opportunity to share their visions and ideas with Summit’s Executive Team, participate in advisor-lead best practices, and network with other elite advisors.
The Conference began on Thursday morning with continuing education workshops and the highly anticipated “eSolutions – Technology Best Practices” presentation where Rob Crowe, Chief Marketing Officer, Tom Terpko, Chief Technology Officer enlightened advisors on how the future of advisors and client technology will be evolving. Subject matter experts from Summit’s broker-dealer network, Cetera Financial Group, were also on hand to provide guidance and education in their respective areas.
New this year, attendees had the opportunity to maximize their time by giving them the ability to customize their conference experience suited to their practice. Summit also hosted specific breakout sessions for Branch Sales and Administrative Associates. They were able to have the opportunity to network amongst their peers, learn best practices, operational efficiencies, and new technology applications to enhance their advisor’s practice.
